All-Inclusive Volunteer Church Assessments
OUR ASSESSMENTS PURPOSE:
AssessME.org exists to provide the local church with professional human resource assessments, designed to support the Biblical mission of MAKING and MOBILIZING disciples of Jesus Christ. Most of our assessments support ministry mobilization, with the exception of our NextSteps program which is designed to support active discipleship in any church, regardless of size.
OUR ASSESSMENT HISTORY:
Work on our assessments started in 1995, when David A. Posthuma was a church planting pastor. By 2002, he felt called by the Lord to create a professional assessment system with a database and reports. That same year, he shared his idea with James Wiersma, a skilled web programmer, and they started E-Church Essentials, LLC.
They tested the assessments in 2002, and by 2003 they were available to the public. From 2003 to 2005, they made small changes to improve wording.
Today, AssessME.org has served churches in 35 countries. Some of the largest churches have used it to assess more than 10,000 people! AssessME.org is a trusted and well-tested system made just for churches.
Please note: AssessME.org is made to be an all-in-one program. We believe each assessment gives important information to help place people in the right areas to serve. It also shows each person’s level of spiritual growth. Once registered, your ministry will have access to all of the following assessments….
ABOUT OUR ASSESSMENTS SYSTEMS DESIGNER:
David A. Posthuma is the systems designer of our assessments. He earned a degree in Education from Calvin University in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He also earned a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity University in Deerfield, Illinois. Later, he completed advanced training in clinical counseling at Mac Neal Hospital in Chicago, Illinois.
David started two churches and helped rebuild several struggling churches. In 1998, he began a new career in software design for churches. He created Parent Pager, one of the first software tools for children’s security and communication, which many church systems now copy.
David is very skilled at designing systems. He has experience in starting churches, building new ministry programs, and creating assessment tools based on modern assessment theory. Select to learn more about David A Posthuma.

How to Pause/Cancel Your Subscription
Log into your dashboard navigate the menu: > Settings > Account > Subscription > Manage Billing (button) > Cancel Subscription (button). Your data will be retained so you may start-up again at any time to pick up where you left off. However, your data will not be accessible while your subscription is in “cancel” mode.
ChMS Data Integration Options
We currently offer two API integration options: Church Community Builder by PushPay, and Planning Center Online. Please contact us with your recommendation for our next API integration project. Your feedback is very important to our future planning. AssessME.org also provides data export capabilities in CSV and XML data formats.
Church Community Builder Integration
We offer an optional data integration between Church Community Builder and our Volunteer Mobilization Program (Excludes NextSteps data integration). Activating this option eliminates all manual administration of your people’s mobilization assessment information. How? Well, your people’s mobilization assessment results will auto-populate within their CCB “My Fit” fields. This integration program runs invisibly in the background, requiring no administration. Planning Center Integration
Planning Center Online is a very popular Church Management Solution (ChMS). This popularity is due to its low cost and modular options. This is why AssessME.org now offers an optional data integration with Planning Center (NOTE DATA EXCHANGE INCLUDES: Mobilization Assessments + NextSteps Discipleship Tracking). New In 2026, Our Advanced Invitation System
Our new program includes a Mass-Email Invite System as well as Downloadable QR Code Graphics you may use in PowerPoint presentations, church programs, etc. to help invite your people to register accounts with your ministry. With AssessME.org, all you do is invite people, from that point on your people create and manage their own accounts. Our new Invitation System will track Invites Sent as well as Invites Received. So invitations that are not acted upon may be resent from our Invite Interface. Since 2003, this method has proved to be very effective, empowering larger church to assess thousands of people in just a few weeks. So how does our new improved Invitation System work? OUR NEW INVITATION SYSTEM
Simply paste-in the email addresses of the people you wish to assess into our mass email program…and hopefully this is everybody in your church…and then they will receive a preformatted email invite, labeled with your ministry name (See Below). Each person proceeds to create their own user accounts and from there to complete their personal assessments. It is truly that easy! In fact, a mega-church can have the majority of their congregation assessed within only a few weeks. Our largest clients have assessed over 10,000 people! Consequently, inviting people is the only “work” you have when using AssessME.org. We designed our platform to free you to work with people, not software.
