FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  1. Am I able to get a refund for unused Assessment Packs?
No. AssessME.org does not refund ministries for unused Assessment Packs. However, we are able to credit Assessment Packs to your account if deemed necessary and appropriate by the staff of AssessME.org.
  2. Can non-computer users utilize the AssessME.org assessments?
Yes. We do offer a PDF of the question pool, but we strongly urge churches to NOT use it. In order to increase the accuracy of the assessment results, AssessME.org scrambles the question pool every time a user logs into the assessments. This makes entering the user's results manually a difficult and time-consuming process. Over the past 10+ years, churches have developed far more effective and relational strategies for helping non-computer users take the assessments. To learn more about these strategies, please refer to our Pastor's Kick-Off Kit.
AssessME.org does NOT recommend the use of paper response sheets. However, these are provided simply because churches have requested this option for their non-computer users. (Please refer to our Pastor's Kick-Off Kit for proven best-practice strategies for using AssessME.org with non-computer users.)
  3. How do I buy more Assessment Packs?
Through our secure payment gateway. Our program will automatically notify your system administrator when your Assessment Pack bank is near depletion.
  4. How do I close my AssessME.org account?
    Contact AssessME.org.
  5. How do I export my ministry’s membership data?
Your ministry's administrative features provides for CSV and XML data export. This feature is limited to program Administrators. Administrators may login and access their system administration features, including data export.
  6. How do I register my ministry?
  7. How will I receive my assessment reports?
They may be viewed online and printed.
  8. I am having a technical problem, what do I do?
Call 1-800-724-1159 for Toll-Free Support. AssessME.org does not have any costly technical support program or per incident fees.
  9. A person in my account believes her assessment is not accurate. What do I do?
Your ministry administrator may need to reset a person’s account when it becomes necessary for the individual to re-take their assessments. To reset accounts, Administrators will use the following steps:

    • Log into your ministry’s administrative account.
    • Select the "Users" tab
    • Search the database by inputting the individual’s name into the database search field.
    • Select the checkbox associated with the person whose account is to be reset.
    • Select the "Reset" button.
    • A confirmation field will display which reads: "Are you sure you want to allow the user you selected to re-take assessments? You will be charged one assessment pack per user only after they login and agree to re-take the assessments. Click 'OK' to proceed or 'Cancel' to cancel this action.
  10. Is AssessME.org Macintosh compatible?
    Yes.
  11. What Church Management Programs Offer Data Import Capabilities?
Please review the sidebar for some of the software systems that have a dedicated data import for AssessME.org data. The products listed are not exhaustive and AssessME.org does not represent any of the products listed. AssessME.org provides an XML export option to enable programmers to build dedicated data import programs for their church management software.
  12. What payment options does AssessME.org offer?
Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and Electronic Checks via a secure online payment gateway. AssessME.org will not manually bill our customers for services rendered.
  13. How can I notify the people of my church to take the assessments?
AssessME.org provides account administrators with a User Management screen. Within the User Management screen, select the "Invite New Users" button. This displays a pop-up window that allows administrators to type or paste-in as many email addresses as required. The Invite New Users pop-up window also includes a default invitation message that may be customized according to your ministry’s communication needs. The default message includes the specific URL to your ministry’s assessment center on AssessME.org. People invited to register and take assessments with your church or ministry can click on the URL within the invitation email message to launch the assessment center and register with your assessment center.
  14. Will AssessME.org notify our account administrator when people register with our assessment center?
AssessME.org does not use automated email notification of new registrants because most computer security programs now block automated email messages. Instead, Administrators may log into their account, select the "Users" tab, and then select the "More" link to filter the database for "Users with incomplete assessments". The applicable user accounts with incomplete assessments will display, Administrators may use the email link in each user’s account to gently remind people to finish their assessments. 15. Why does AssessME.org provide separate assessment reports rather than blend all assessments results into one concise report?
The reason AssessME.org does not blend the results of each assessment into one concise report is so that the various assessments provide a check-and-balance to one another. For example, if two assessments show a person to be highly relational, and the third assessment shows the individual to be highly task-driven, then this discrepancy should raise a red-flag in minds of account Administrators. Discrepancies among the reports can occur for any number of reasons, including but not limited to:
    • Assessments may have been taken on different dates, and as a result, the individual may have been experiencing differing life-stresses from day-to-day.
    • The person being assessed did not properly understand the questions being asked, or the individual read into the questions more than was being asked within an assessment.
    • The individual may have been consciously or subconsciously responding to assessment questions based upon what he or she perceived church leaders were looking for.
    • The individual lacks sufficient life-experience to discern between activities he or she prefers and those activities he or she distains.
    • Some people, for various reasons, may fall into a category commonly called "People-Pleasers". People-pleasers often lack focus on what they prefer to do or be since most of their life they have tried to re-shape themselves to please others. This is a distortion of their true personality-type. The assessment that generally best reflects this problem is the Leadership Style Assessment...in such cases this assessment report will be characterized as relatively flat-lined across the continuum.
  16. What does it mean when some one has a relatively flat-line report on their Leadership Style assessment?
Some people, for various reasons, may fall into a category commonly called "People-Pleasers". A flat-line report represents a person who does not give himself or herself permission to say "I am good or bad at various activities". A flat-line report represents a person who likely is experiencing internal stress or fear because they are concerned that they will be considered unworthy if they are not good at everything. In some extreme cases, people may have learned to re-shape themselves into whatever is expected of them as survival mechanism when they endured abuse within their life. Pastors, who have "survived" many years in the pastorate, often flat-line on their Leadership Style assessments.
  17. I have registered my ministry, but I cannot find the assessments.
To locate the assessments, each individual must go to your ministry’s assessment center and register as "User" of your ministry account. This is the only way AssessME.org can assign assessments to individuals. To locate the address of your assessment center, log into your Administrative account and locate the first quadrant in the upper-left of the screen labeled, "Assessment Center". This quadrant will read: "Your Assessment Center is located at:

    http://www.assessme.org/XXXX.aspx

Record this Link. Every person wishing to take the assessments must register a free user account with your ministry." NOTE: The "XXXX" in the URL address represents a specific ID number for your ministry’s assessment center.
